Of Blessed John Baptist Scalabrini

The soon to be declared “SAINT”, BlessedJohn Baptist Scalabrini was born on JULY 8, 1039 in a littletown called FINO MORNASCO in the province of COMO, north of Milan, Italy.Since he has been recently declared a saint by Pope Francis, the Congregation of the Scalabrinians have organized a 24 hours of prayer in THANKSGIVING throughout THE WHOLE WORLD. All the missionaries (brothers, sisters, consecrated and Lay Movement) will be reunited in prayer beginning on July 7 till July 8.

We can participate through ZOOM (See below the link) but we should not put our microphones on, because the schedule is already set with a number of missions around the world. ON OUR PART, we will dedicate the evening mass of FRIDAY, JULY 8 to the memory of our Blessed Founder, together with the Altar Servers who are participating in their meeting

About Fr. Walter

Father Walter Tonelotto was born in Italy in 1947 and entered the Scalabrini Seminary at an early age. At 20 he was sent by his superiors to study Theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie, New York and then to the Toronto School of Theology. He holds a Master in Divinity from St. Paul’s University in Ottawa and a Master in Moral Theology from Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University, New York City.
