June 3rd will be remembered as a great day for our parish. It has been a moment of joy, a moment of unity and a moment of faith. Thanks also to Bishop Boissonneau who has graced us with his presence.
Building a sense of community around our faith is our ultimate goal, this this has been shown with the participation of so many different groups in our parish. Old groups (like he Azione Cattolica, which started this feast) new groups like the Nigerian Community, young groups like the Parish Groups, the Senior group, the Knights of Columbus, the Spanish Community, the Legion of Mary, the Filipino Support group and various music groups with children from Catechism and First Communion…we all were there to celebrate our faith and give public testimony to the presence of Jesus in our midst, through His Body and Blood. What a beautiful public witness. This is what it means to be “disciples” and followers of Jesus.
A big thanks to all the organizers and the committee, headed by our faithful and diligent secretary Maria. Let us keep building the family of God among us, with so many beautiful cultures and languages. One God, one faith, one baptism and one family of God.
