The SCALABRINI CENTER of Anse-a-Pitre in the southern border of HAITI is proceeding greatly. With the Raffle of this year we were able to send $ CAN 8,000.00 which should be enough to finish the construction and provide doors and windows, so that people can start using it.
Robert Tourteau, the director of the project, was visiting family in Ottawa fromHaiti and took time to come down to thank our community for the substantial support.
On behalf of the parish a GREAT THANKS to all those who have participated in the Raffle. It was a concrete gesture of true missionary help, during the month of October, which is dedicated to the Missions.
