Dear Friends and Parishioners,

A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

We are happy to announce that the Cardinal has given us the permission to plan for the celebration of the First Holy Communion for our children. Tentatively we are planning for the month of October. We will have the first Confession (and confession for the parents) on October 9-10-16-17 in the evening; then we will have the first communion on October 23-24-30-31. We will assign a particular day for confession and communion for each school at a later date. At least now we know that we will be able to celebrate this beautiful sacrament for our children. We like to wait till October so that the children will be settled in their classes during the month of September.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

As every year, we are planning another program of catechesis for the adults who want to be baptized, or confirmed, or welcomed into the Catholic Church. We are aiming on the month of October, beginning on the first Monday (October 5) and every Monday after that.

There will be a public announcement from the pulpit, but you can invite any friend or family to sign up, by calling the parish office (905) 272-1454. https://www.archtoronto.org/our-catholic-faith/becoming-catholic-(rcia)

PRE-CANA (Marriage Preparation)

According the directives of the Archdiocese, this year the preparation for marriage will be online. In our parish we will have a combination of some “in person” sessions, together with videos online.

It is important that you notify the parish office, so that we can plan the interviews in preparation to the celebration of the sacrament of Marriage for the year 2021. We are planning the “in person” session by the end of October 2020.
