HOLY WEEK – Monday

1 – MEDITATION (John 12, 1-11) (by Fr. Walter)

Since you cannot go to church, you can prepare a church in your house. You can choose a room, or a corner of a room and create a sacred space. You can put a small table, a candle, a vas of flower and the Gospel, so you can follow day by day the readings of the Liturgy.

For HOLY MONDAY, remembering the action of Mary who anointed the feet of Jesus with fragrant perfume, you can put a bottle of perfume in the table and open it up, so that it can “fill the house with fragrance”. If you don’t have perfume, you can put a scented candle. This will remind you the whole day of the love of Mary for Jesus and will bring you to remember the love of Jesus for you.

3 – PRAYER – Besides your own prayers, you can say very slowly the OUR FATHER.

OUR FATHER (Andrea Boccelli – Mormon Choir)

This is the final sacrifice that Jesus is offering to the Father; everything that he does is for the love of the Father. Are we ready to do the will of the Father? Are we willing to go up to the cross together with Jesus?
