September calendar

AN INVITATION

Dear Friends and Parishioners,

    So we are back again to the drawing board!

We begin this month of September with the regular TUESDAY Spirituality Classes with Fr. Walter, and we will continue with THE STORY OF A SOUL of St. Therese of the Little Flower. On THURSDAY we will continue with Fr. Tiziano and THE BIBLE. We are going to go into THE LETTERS OF ST. JAMES.

FAMILY MINISTRY will offer a great program for renewal and fulfillment of Marriage every other SUNDAY at 2:00pm beginning on SEPTEMBER 18.

We are also preparing for RCIA / ADULT CATECHISM of the Catholic Faith (Beginning on October 3 we will follow the program of SYMBOLON)

PRE-CANA will start on Friday SEPTEMBER 23, from 7:00pm-9:00pm. We will follow the program BELOVED.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL for children to learn the meaning of the mass at their level. It will be ON SUNDAYS from 11:30am (Mass) and then ECFL with the parents till 1:00pm. We will give you the dates when we will start.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION and CONFIRMATION – We have a new program either at home or at the parish. More informations will be given later on. This program will last the whole year.

THE YOUTH PROGRAM will continue as last year on a monthly basis for the three levels we have in the parish: 1 – Champions for Christ (C4C) grades 2 to 5. 2 – EDGE grades 6 to 8. and 3 – Life Teen for High school.

THE SCHOOLS will open next week and we will be planing confessions and celebrations for the 4 catholic schools of our parish.

THE SENIORS are organizing a good calendar of activities.

As every first week of the month we have: FIRST THURSDAY – 3:00pm – Prayer for Vocation and Holiness for the Priests. FIRST FRIDAY – Eucharistic Adoration after the evening mass – 7:30pm – 8:30pm. fallowed by THE ALL NIGHT VIGIL till Saturday Morning. All Invited. FIRST SATURDAY at 1:00pm – Children’s Rosary with program in Zanon Hall.

THE FEAST OF THE NATIVITY of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Thursday next week. Right now we are doing the NOVENA.

THE NEW PASTOR is coming for an initial visit on September 14 – 21 and we are preparing a great welcome and transition. On Saturday, September 17 from 2 – 5 there will be a general meeting/assembly fallowed by a CONCELEBRATED MASS and light refreshments after mass in the hall so everybody can meet him.

About Fr. Walter

Father Walter Tonelotto was born in Italy in 1947 and entered the Scalabrini Seminary at an early age. At 20 he was sent by his superiors to study Theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie, New York and then to the Toronto School of Theology. He holds a Master in Divinity from St. Paul’s University in Ottawa and a Master in Moral Theology from Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University, New York City.
