THE JOY OF EASTER.
Dear Friends and Parishioners, The Lord is really in our midst.
After a great Holy Week we are now enjoying the fruits of the resurrection of our Lord.
It has been a great Holy Week. On Holy Friday three priests were in the confessional for 3 hours; so a great “spring cleaning” of our souls. The Easter Vigil celebration was “a piece of heaven”. Our Catechumens were welcomed into our family of God and our community with great solemnity and profound sense of faith. The Liturgies were all so crowded that we needed to open the balcony at every mass. So everytHing was great. BUT NOW?
Let us enjoy this sense of joy and gratitude; Jesus is really present in our community and is moving many souls to a greater confidence in the FATHER, like He did throughout his passion and resurrection.
Our Pope Francis has published another “Apostolic Exhortation”: GAUDETE ET EXULTATE which is centered precisely on Joy and Mercy. If you want to read it, go to: www.vatican.va and you will find it.
GREAT NEWS FOR OUR PARISH: We have started a YOUTH MINISTRY for the young people of our parish. Chai Bonoan is our new YOUTH MINISTER and she is working hard to start a ministry which will revitalize our whole Parish. Please invite your children to participate. Go to the YOUTH PAGE on this web site and you will find all the info.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT EVENT will be the Charismatic Retreat for all our communities (English, Italian & Spanish) which will be held on MAY 12, 2018. It will be a day full and prayer and grace for the whole family.
THIS IS THE SEASON to celebrate FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATIONS. What a beautiful harvest for the church and our families. Our youth is moving ahead into the sharing of our faith and traditions.
LET US NOT FORGET THE ANNUAL PARISH FEAST which this year will be celebrated on June 1-2-3 with the solemn mass & procession presided by Bishop Boissonneau.
SO, COME TO BE A PART OF A GREAT CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY.
