UPDATE – LOCKDOWN

Dear Parishioners and Friends.

So we AREagain in LOCKDOWN. There is nothing we can do about it, but we can help each other during these difficult times.

Let me repeat the main restrictions:

1 – No public masses.

Funerals, Weddings and Baptisms only 10 people.

2 – All religious celebrations (Masses, Novenas, Rosaries, Conference…

will be available ONLY through streaming (Which seems to be

       working, finally).

3 – Individual requests for Sacraments will be taken care by the priests.

4 – The church WILL BE OPEN from 9:00am till 6:00pm, when

everyone has to exit to allow the priest to say the Mass on streaming.

5 – Any other request, please call our good secretary (905) 272-1454.

The best way to remain united to our parish is through streaming: https://stcatherine.ca/live-mass/

ADVENT IS HERE.

This Sunday we begin the important liturgical season of ADVENT: in preparation to the celebration of the Birth of Jesus (Christmas). We don’t know how many celebrations we may be able to have but for sure Jesus is coming, so we have to prepare. The most important for Christmas is CHRIST.

A FEW SUGGESTIONS: (Make it a project to know the meaning of the wreath, the candles…)

1 – Build together as a family THE ADVENT WREATH (See link below). There is a prayer for each week (4) that goes with it.

2 – Tell or read the various beautiful stories of Christmas with your children.

3 – Say every night (or at least on Saturday and Sunday) the HOLY ROSARY around the Nativity of Jesus that you will build together as a family project. Take pictures and send it to us at the parish.
